What is .GM?

.GM is the country-code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) assigned to The Gambia.

Who manages .GM?

GM-NIC is the ccTLD manager and Registry administrator for .GM. The official IANA delegation record lists the current Registry manager, administrative and technical contacts, nameservers, and registration-service address: IANA .GM Delegation Record.

How is .GM administration organised?

GM-NIC is responsible for Registry policy, DNS and zone administration, and national/local matters. Cypdom supports most day-to-day services, billing, and communication for International Registrars under agreement with GM-NIC.

Who can register a .GM domain?

Local and international individuals, organisations, businesses, public bodies, and rights holders may submit requests through an accredited Registrar. Eligibility, name-protection, Reserved, Blocked, and regulated-sector conditions are described on the Policy page.

How do I register a domain?

Registration requests are submitted through an accredited Registrar. Accredited Registrars may use the NIC.GM Dashboard after approval. A request is not final until it has passed the applicable Registry review.

How do I check availability?

Use the NIC.GM Whois Search. An Open or Available result is an indication only and may change after review.

What do Open, Reserved, and Blocked mean?

Open names are generally available to request. Reserved names require evaluation and may involve category, documentation, or fee conditions. Blocked names are restricted for legal, official, technical, security, cultural, brand-protection, or administrative reasons.

When does a registration become final?

A technically complete request may be activated while administrative review is still pending. GM-NIC or Cypdom may request further information, reclassify, approve, reject, suspend, or revoke a domain in accordance with the current Policy and Legal terms.

How are renewals and fees handled?

Renewals and fees are handled through the accredited Registrar. Current fee, billing, category, and prepayment conditions are supplied to Registrars and may be updated in accordance with the published terms.

How do I report abuse or contact the Registry?

Policy, appeal, national/local, and abuse matters may be sent to admin@nic.gm. International Registrar support and billing matters may be sent to admin@cypdom.com.
